GRAPHICS (PRINT MAKING)

The printmaking is a major means of expression within the fine art diaspora of today with College of Art contributing substantially. The term 'printmaking' refers to techniques and processes of producing prints, when applied to original images created by artists such as engraving, lithography, serigraphy, woodcut and wood engraving etc. Printmaking processes have been considered as central to the work and expression of many of the great artists. Especially in the last century the impact of print in all its manifestations in our society has been immense. The last decade has seen the definition of printmaking undergo a radical change. Keeping this heritage in mind the department instructs its students in all printmaking processes and at the same time encourages them to find their own niche in this fascinating form of creative expression.
